New Community Defibrillator at HCS

Community Defibrillator

Hereford Cathedral School is pleased to announce the installation of a new community defibrillator at their boarding house in How Caple. This life-saving equipment, made possible through a combination of a community grant and a heartfelt donation from the family of a former pupil, will make a profound impact on the well-being of residents in the area.

"We would like to extend our thanks to the How Caple Parish Council for their support of this project, and to our former pupil’s family for their generous donation which has made the installation of this defibrillator possible," said Mrs Elise Shuker, Boarding Houseparent at Wilmot House. "Their kindness exemplifies the community-minded spirit of the school and we’re thrilled to contribute to ensuring the future safety and well-being of our students and the local community.”

Prompt access to defibrillation is known to be a critical factor in improving outcomes for individuals experiencing cardiac emergencies. With its placement at Wilmot House, the defibrillator will serve as a vital resource for the entire community, offering immediate assistance when every second counts.
