Residential Matron 

Location: Herefordshire (How Caple Court) 
Accommodation will be available during working weeks (term time and half terms).
Hours of Work: 39 weeks per year (term time plus half terms) The rota will be as agreed with the Houseparent and shifts of varying length will lie between 6.30am and 11pm, including weekends. Additional hours will occasionally be required for major School or House events. There will be a day off of at least a 24 hour period during each week. Overnight on call during days of work from 11pm to 6.30am Flexibility in hours will be required on occasion to take account of the changing needs and requirements of a Boarding House. 
Remuneration FTE £18,732. This equates to £15,558 for work pattern detailed above. 

Hereford Cathedral School seeks to appoint a resident Matron to work with our boarding house team to provide outstanding pastoral care to our boarders. 
The matron will assist with and contribute to the supervision and care of the boarders, with particular responsibility for the health, clothing and general well-being of those in the House.  They will organise and support the domestic staff and ensure that they carry out their work effectively and efficiently.

Assistant Head Cook

Location: How Caple, Herefordshire. 
Description:  27 hours per week over 5 days including weekends 
Occasional overtime will be required.
Term-time and half terms plus 6 days (40.2 weeks per year) 
Salary: £18,209 per annum pro rata. This equates to £10,859. (£10.00 per hour)

Hereford Cathedral School are looking to appoint an Assistant Head Cook to work in our Boarding House, How Caple Grange. 

The core purpose of this role is to ensure that all boarders, including those with special dietary, medical or religious needs, are provided with meals which are adequate in nutrition, quantity, quality, choice and variety. provide effective support to the Catering Manager through the ability to serve food to staff and pupils and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Essential skills for this role are:
•    NVQ level 2/3 in food preparation and cookery or equivalent qualification
•    Previous experience of large scale cooking and food preparation in a high volume time bound   environment
•    The ability to work on own initiative
•    Excellent verbal communication skills
•    Organisation and time management skills
•    Ability to work well under pressure
•    Happy to be flexible in approach to work
•    Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people

Location: Hereford   Description: Full time and permanent 

A dynamic and enthusiastic teacher of Modern Languages is required for September 2019. French and Spanish are taught to all pupils in the School from Year 7 upwards and the successful candidate will be able to teach one of these languages to A-level, and the other to at least KS3, preferably to GCSE. Applicants should be able to inspire and challenge pupils of all ages, from beginners to university entrance level. This is a full-time, permanent post.  We are fortunate to teach young people who are bright and well-motivated. Results at both GCSE and A-level are very strong and each year students go on to pursue their study of languages at leading universities.

School Minibus Driver 

Description:  10 hours per week over 5 days. 6.30am-8.30 am 
                   or 20 hours and 6.30am-8.30 am 3.30pm -5.30pm

Term-time only (36 weeks)

Salary: 10 hours per week - £14,549 per annum pro rata. This equates to £3,188.
Salary: 20 hours per week - £14,549 per annum pro rata. This equates to £6,376.

We are looking to appoint a skilled School Minibus Driver to join our transport department. 

All drivers of the school minibuses must:
•    Be over 21 years of age (for insurance purposes)
•    Have held a category B licence for at least 2 years.
•    Have a D1 entitlement on their licence.  
•    Undergo a Worcester County Council minibus driving assessment and must successfully pass this test to be employed.
•    Ensure the emotional and physical welfare of the pupils in their care in line with Hereford Cathedral School Child Protection Guidelines

Duties shall include the following:
•    To safely transport pupils and staff from one location to another ensuring that all Road Traffic Act Legislation is adhered to.
•    To maintain good customer relations with parents and schools and contribute to a positive atmosphere on the minibus. 
•    Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks on minibus i.e. oil level, fuel, water etc.
