HCS to bring Sister Act to The Courtyard stage in February 2025

To follow up the School's production of Chicago last year, Hereford Cathedral School's Drama and Music departments are thrilled to reveal that they will be staging a production of Sister Act at The Courtyard in February 2025.

Sister Act is the feel-amazing musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film that has had audiences jumping to their feet for the last decade! Featuring original music by Tony and 8-time Oscar winner Alan Menken, who wrote the music for Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid, amongst others, this incredibly uplifting musical was nominated for 5 Tony Awards including Best Musical.

HCS Director of Drama, Mr Martin, commented: "We're really thrilled to have secured the rights to stage Sister Act. This is an amazingly joyful musical that fuses gospel, disco and soul music with exuberant choreography and scenes that are both moving and hilarious. It's a great opportunity to show off loads of our performers, with a large cast and plenty of wonderful choral work, and we know our audiences are going to love watching it as much as our cast, crew and musicians love performing it. We can't wait to see everyone in February 2025 at The Courtyard!"

More information will be given to pupils at the start of the new school year in September, and auditions will be open to anyone in next year’s Year 9 and above.
