Xeni selected to represent Great Britain in rowing this summer

Xeni

Huge congratulations to Hereford Cathedral School Year 11 pupil, Xeni C, who has been selected to represent Great Britain in the highly anticipated J16 GB versus France Match this summer. This remarkable achievement is a testament to Xeni's hard work, commitment, and relentless training attitude throughout the last three years.

Head of Rowing, Mr Wellburn, commented: “We are immensely proud to see Xeni go and achieve such a feat. The single scull is a mental challenge as much as a physical one, and to win it is simply incredible. The legacy of the 2021 J16 crew has certainly been a motivator and it is great to see junior club members aiming high. Xeni's selection serves as an inspiration to all aspiring athletes in our school, demonstrating that, with hard work and perseverance, dreams can be transformed into reality.”

The J16 GB versus France Match is a platform where the finest young rowers from both nations showcase their skills and compete at the highest level. Xeni's participation in this event will provide invaluable exposure, experience, and an opportunity to learn from some of the best rowers in the world.

We wish Xeni the very best as he embarks on this remarkable journey.
