Hereford Cathedral School's Sports Day 2023 was a day to remember, with no fewer than seven new school records set, which may be a record in itself!
Congratulations to:
🥇 Rafi W (Year 9) who notched up two new records (fresh off the back of his appearance at the English Schools Track and Field Championships last week): Intermediate Boys 800m 2m 07.4s & Discus 33.61m, beating records set by Bradley Gray OH and Michael Poolton OH in 2009.
🥇 Lilia W (Year 11) - Senior Girls Shot Put (9.21m), beating Emily Tompkins OH's record of 9.10m (2009)
🥇 Esme B (Year 9) - Intermediate Girls Shot Put (10.27m), beating India Preece OH's record of 9.28m from 2018
🥇 Jamie P - Year 7 Boys Shot Put (9.40m), beating Peter Entwisle OH's 2013 record by almost 2m!
🥇 Phoebe B - Year 7 Javelin (18.15m), beating Megan Fitt OH's 2009 record of 17.46m
🥇 Jessica A - Junior Shot Put (8.77m), beating Eleanor Viner OH's 2006 record of 8.28m
