Year 5 pupils explored the wonders of science during this morning’s workshop in the Senior School. Working in three groups – focusing on Physics, Chemistry and Biology – the children discovered the joys of static electricity, conducted flame tests with Bunsen burners, and got to grips with microscopes to view plant cells.
The workshop was arranged by Senior School Head of Science, Mrs Burdett, to celebrate Science Week. She commented: “The pupils, the teachers and the Sixth Form helpers all had good fun – the Physics experiments were particularly ‘hair-raising’!”
It’s been a morning of discovery for our bright young scientists!
