Last Friday Hereford Cathedral Junior School Headmaster Mr Wright asked that pupils in Reception to Year 6 should wear odd socks to school today.
This morning’s assembly focused upon the fact that we are all different (hence the request that children wear odd socks to school!) and all equal. We spoke about the different things which make each of us unique. We went on to talk about how important it is that we value each other and treat each other kindly.
Later in the day, HCJS house captains and vice-captains gathered in Mr Wright’s office for a meeting, and seized the chance to show off their mis-matched socks at the same time.
Many of the staff got involved too – with some even wearing odd shoes!
Thank you to all of the parents and children who remembered Mr Wright’s odd-socks request – the school was a rainbow of colour!
