In our recent Academic Super Saturday event, we welcomed back Thinkers in Education, a company that leads the way in delivering inspiring and challenging STEM workshops across the UK and in other parts of the world.

The HCS Library became the scene of a murder investigation, with 70 pupils working in mixed-age groups to identify the victim and perpetrator by undertaking a wide variety of tasks under pressure. There was a lot of excitement and tension, and it was wonderful to see pupils so engaged and motivated, and working brilliantly with those from different year groups.

The Thinkers in Education team were extremely impressed with the skills and teamwork of all the participants – the performance of the winning team from the morning session pushed an Australian school off the leaderboard for the first time in a decade, and the winning afternoon team set a new KS3 record.

Well done to all the participants!
