Pupils from Nursery to Year 3 at Hereford Cathedral Junior School were treated to an exciting African-themed percussion workshop led by Andy Warn from Sounds Roadshow. The workshop introduced the children to the vibrant world of African music, where they learned traditional songs and rhythms.
Using a variety of authentic African instruments, including djembes and shakers, the students enthusiastically participated, creating energetic beats and exploring the cultural roots of African music. Andy’s interactive session gave the young learners a hands-on experience, leaving them with a deeper appreciation for the rich musical traditions of Africa.
The sessions were a huge amount of fun. Many thanks to Andy for a fantastic day!
