The hard work has paid off for Nishant H (below left) who is looking ahead to Sixth Form at HCS after achieving an impressive set of GCSE results. He said: “I got four 9s, six 8s and a 7. My plans for Sixth Form are to study Physics, Maths and maybe History. I really think Mr Near helped me get my Maths grade from that 7 to a really secure 8, because I was really struggling to get that 7 up. I was always on the line between 7 and 8, but Mr Near really helped me with that. I had so much support, after school and lunchtimes, and that really helped.”
Meanwhile, Evie B and Georgina M have lots to smile about. Evie (below centre) achieved GCSE grade 9s in English Language, English Literature, Drama & Religious Studies; along with four grade 8s, a 7 and a 6. Georgina (below right) added how grateful she is for all of the support that helped her achieve an impressive set of GCSE results today: “I got two 9s, seven 8s and two 7s, and I’m extremely happy about that. I’ve felt that [Head of Sixth Form] Mrs Teale has been there for support, helping me every step of the way, and has been someone that I could go to, whether that be work-wise, or anything else that’s going on. Away from academics, the highlights of this year was playing to the first hockey team and having an unbeaten season, which was amazing, and also singing in the Eisteddfod for Cantabile Girls’ Choir.”
We congratulate all our pupils on their fantastic results and looks forward to supporting them as they move into Sixth Form and beyond.
