SETTLING IN
While first-day nerves are natural, children soon feel at home in our warm and friendly setting built on positive relationships between children and staff. Starting Nursery can be daunting for both the children and the parents, but we work in partnership with you to promote your child’s wellbeing and happiness. In our Nursery, children quickly get used to their new routines, naturally learning and developing as they make new friends and engage in everything around them.
TAILORED SUPPORT
Recognising that each child is unique, our pastoral care system is designed to cater to individual needs and preferences. We enjoy hearing about your child’s likes, as well as the things they find more challenging, so we can provide the right kind of care to foster their resilience and growing independence.
As children develop at different rates, we consider their individual needs in everything we do, aiming to make your child feel safe and secure, while encouraging them to be inquisitive and adventurous in finding out about the world around them.

BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS
We place a strong emphasis on building relationships, not only between the children and their teachers but also among the children themselves. Social skills are developed through collaborative play and group activities, helping children learn the value of teamwork and empathy. Our nursery environment encourages open communication, allowing children to express their feelings and ideas confidently. This nurturing approach helps create a close-knit community where every child feels valued and supported.
We work together with parents to ensure that each child’s experience is positive. We regularly invite parents into the setting for contact sessions, plays and musical showcases that let you see for yourself how your child is flourishing.
TRANSITION TO RECEPTION
Our Nursery children are fully prepared for the next stage of their education as they move on with their friends and meet new classmates who join directly into Reception. Being a part of the whole school, the children have many opportunities to become familiar with the Pre-Prep classrooms and other facilities, as well as getting to know their new teachers.
