Pupils explore career options in Year 10 Futures event

This week, Hereford Cathedral School pupils in Year 10 gained a fantastic insight into their possible career options in a special event.
In a round-robin activity held in the Sixth Form Cafe, pupils had the chance to talk to professionals with a wide range of impressive credentials, to get an idea of their career paths and what they studied in order to get where they are today.
The professionals included:
🟡 Law - Katy Skerrett, Coroner
🟡 Retail - Bruce Jones, Managing Partner at Philip Morris
🟡 Medicine & Psychiatry - Dr Angharad Gray, Psychiatrist
🟡 Languages - Emma Maxted, UK Diplomatic Service/FCDO
🟡 Marketing - Laura Yates, Director of Marketing and Communications, Hereford Cathedral School
🟡 Property - Richard Binnersley, Joint Managing Director, Brightwells
🟡 Apprenticeships - Representatives from Riverside Training, who were on hand to talk to pupils about apprenticeship opportunities in various industries
🟡 Army careers advisors
Later, the students completed selected sessions on revision strategies, and then took part in a session on preparing for Sixth Form and beyond.
