Local textile artist Angie Hughes paid another visit to Hereford Cathedral School last week to host a workshop for our A Level Textiles students.
Angie, who has a studio in Ledbury, brought a wide range of her colourful and textural work to show the students. She specialises in embroidery, appliqué and constructed textiles and pieces of her work are featured in various books on the subject.
The students watched while Angie demonstrated several of these processes, which they then applied to their own project work.
This was the third of Angie’s workshops here at HCS, and the school would like to thank her for the inspiring experience for our pupils.
