Hereford Cathedral Junior School’s Year 6 students took to the stage this week, presenting a spirited and modern twist on a classic fairy tale, with their performance of Cinderella & Rockerfella. The production, held in the Powell Theatre, was met with enthusiastic applause and rave reviews from parents, teachers, and fellow pupils alike.
The play, a lively adaptation of the traditional Cinderella story, featured a mix of contemporary music, dynamic choreography, and colourful costumes. It infused the well-loved tale with humour and a rock-and-roll edge, making it a memorable event for all who attended.
The lead roles of Cinderella and Rockerfella were played by Milly C and Finlay W, respectively. Their performances were nothing short of spectacular, with Milly bringing a perfect blend of grace and sass to Cinderella, while Finlay’s Rockerfella was charmingly rebellious.
As the final curtain fell, it was clear that Cinderella & Rockerfella had left a lasting impression on all who attended. The Year 6 pupils not only showcased their theatrical talents but also created cherished memories to mark the end of their years at HCJS.
