Hereford Cathedral School Year 12 student, Madeleine T, visited The Little Princess Trust at the end of the Spring Term, to present the charity with a donation of £3,300, which was raised at the HCS Fashion Show in February.

Wendy Tarplee-Morris and Phil Brace were delighted to receive the donation: “We are so grateful that our charity was chosen as one of those to benefit from the fantastic fashion show.”

Wendy added: “The Little Princess Trust has a long and meaningful history with HCS stretching right back to the very beginnings of the charity, while the first fashion show of this kind was held for us at the school back in 2007. This latest donation will once again be a huge help as we continue to support young people with hair loss and fund childhood cancer research.”

Madeleine organised the HCS Fashion show for her EPQ project. The HCS Sports Hall was transformed into a glamorous catwalk ready for the event. The idea was to make a positive impact through sustainable fashion, while raising funds for Little Princess Trust and GoodWeave.

Under the theme ‘Sustainable Fashion is the Future’, the event showcased the creativity and talent of Hereford Cathedral School’s emerging designers, featuring both contemporary and sustainable collections. The audience enjoyed a mix of innovative designs and ethical fashion statements. The event also featured music and dance performances, and a sale of pre-loved clothing.

It had been 8 years since the last HCS Fashion Show, and the event had always been popular. Madeleine T commented: “With a reputation like this, we knew it would be daunting to bring the Fashion Show back to its former glory. But despite the size of this challenge, our school community worked hard to ensure it was a night to remember.”

Madeleine added: “It meant so much to see the Fashion Show back in action, and I cannot wait to see what the next generation of the HCS Fashion Show will look like.”

Well done to Madeleine and the Fashion Show team on this impressive fundraising effort!
