Nearly 200 Hereford Cathedral School cadets had the chance to develop their military, leadership and teamwork skills on last week’s CCF field days.
The Army section travelled to Tiddesley Wood Cadet Training Centre in Pershore, while the RAF and Navy sections travelled to Bramcote Cadet Training Centre near Nuneaton.
The cadets participated in team-building activities, first aid, section competitions, ranges and much more. The field days were an opportunity for them to develop independence and improve their personal admin skills.
Contingent Commander, Major Fowler commented: “The various night exercises included a highly memorable night sleeping out under the Northern Lights for our Year 10 Army cadets. Most activities and lessons were organised and led by our senior cadets, who continually set a fantastic example, encouraging and motivating the younger cadets to strive for their best selves.”
