Hereford Cathedral Junior School pupils enjoyed an enormously fun-filled day of Coronation celebrations on Friday. The children took part in a carousel of activities, including craft, bunting-making and games. Year 4 devised their very own impressive Coronation rap, while pupils in the Nursery and Reception acted out the Coronation of King Charles III in St David’s. The sun shone for the picnic in the Quiet Garden and everyone enjoyed the delicious spread of sandwiches, quiche and cake.
The special guest at the celebration was Mr Randy Langford OH (pictured above with Mrs Hoffmann), who was a pupil at the Junior School back in 1931. He has lived through the reigns of four monarchs – quite an achievement! Mr Langford was thrilled to be a part of this wonderful occasion at his former school. He commented: “This is a very special place. This has made my day.”
It has been a really special day, which we hope the children will remember always.
