There was an atmosphere of celebration in school last week for European Day of Languages. In lessons, there were lots of activities, quizzes and tongue-twister competitions. On Friday, Year 7 showed off their entries into the ‘Best Representation of a European Country’ competition, which included traditional bakes and makes.
Head of French, Miss Sellar said: “It was fantastic to see such genuine enthusiasm from the students during our European Day of Languages events. The Year 7s did a great job celebrating different cultures in creative ways on Friday, and the Tongue Twister Challenge brought out some impressive linguistic skills across years 7, 8 and 9. The energy and engagement from everyone involved made it a really enjoyable and enriching experience for the whole school. It was wonderful to see students of all ages embracing the opportunity to explore new languages and celebrate different cultures.”
