Pupils from four Herefordshire schools enjoyed a print workshop hosted by Hereford Cathedral School yesterday as part of the HCS outreach programme.
The fourteen Year 10 and 11 students from Tenbury High School, St Mary’s High, Aylestone School and Lady Hawkins visited the School for a session in dry point etching.
The day started with a visit to Hereford Cathedral, where the students used digital photography to capture some interesting compositions. Next they created their own drawings based on the images they had captured on camera. They were next introduced to the concept of dry point etching.
The students finished the day having completed pieces of work that they may wish to use as part of the ‘portfolio’ unit of their GCSE.
Many thanks to all the schools involved in this HCS outreach event.
