Year 6 had a fantastic time at PGL Tregoyd in September. Arriving late on a Friday afternoon, they set off around the grounds to enjoy a variety of different activities including ‘Capture the Flag’. The evening was rounded off by the film ‘School of Rock’ in the lounge.
Saturday started with an early breakfast, after which the group was divided into their activity groups. Activities included aeroball and a trapeze, while one group spent the morning enjoying canoeing on the lake. In the afternoon the children tried their hands at orienteering and the Challenge Course. In the evening the children sang around the campfire while enjoying toasted marshmallows.
With much effort the children were prised out of bed on the Sunday morning for another day packed with activities such as Jacob’s Ladder and the zip wire and the opportunity for the other children to go canoeing on the lake. The evening was spent playing Cluedo, and watching Nanny McPhee. On the final day the group were up early to pack before setting off to yet more activities including the Challenge Course and Aeroball.
The Choristers were able to join in on Saturday morning and Monday morning to participate in the activities before lunch and then on Monday afternoon for a visit to Hay-on-Wye for a tasty ice cream at Shepherds ice cream parlour, before heading home.
Many thanks to PGL Tregoyd for hosting the children.
