For our boarders, Wilmot House is their home-away-from-home, where our dedicated round-the-clock care ensures they feel nurtured and supported.
We run a happy boarding house where our students feel confident, safe and secure. This will enable them to flourish academically and socially both within Wilmot House and during the school day.
Our aim is that all our boarders leave Wilmot House as independent young people; confident of their own abilities, aware of their strengths and having developed the necessary skills to cope and thrive in the wider community beyond school.

SUPPORT NETWORK
For many students, and particularly those joining us from overseas, boarding can feel a long way from home. Our experienced housemistress and caring team of boarding staff do everything they can to make sure our boarders feel well cared-for during their time with us. Alongside the boarding team, our Form Tutors and Heads of Year care for our students’ well-being, personal development and academic progress.
Students can also receive informal support from peer mentors, as well as having access to our school nurse and counsellor. And for students joining us from overseas, regular help and support is also available from our dedicated international staff.
KEEPING IN TOUCH
Fostering strong connections between our boarding students and their families is so important, and we encourage students to stay in regular contact with relatives at home. Whether through phone calls or video chats, or through our regular social media posts, we ensure students have the opportunity to share their experiences and achievements.
