It was wonderful to welcome pupils from St Paul’s Primary School, Moor Park School, Gorsley Goffs Primary School, Lea Church of England Primary School and Holmer Church of England Academy to last week’s Herefordshire Schools Advent Carol Service at Hereford Cathedral.
The programme included readings by pupils from all of the guest schools, plus hymns including Once in Royal David’s City, O Little Town of Bethlehem and Away in a Manger.
Hereford Cathedral School Director of Music, Mr Duncan Barlow, commented: “It was an absolute pleasure to see over 250 young people singing heartily together in the beautiful surroundings of Hereford Cathedral as we welcome in the season of Advent. All the singers gave it their all and produced a wonderful sound. Congratulations to all the schools who took part, including those who sang their own individual pieces and my thanks to the teachers and headteachers for their organisation and support of this amazing community event.”
Moor Park posted on Facebook: “We thank @herefordcathedralschool for inviting us to be part of such a heartwarming musical celebration of Advent.”
We hope everyone enjoyed this fantastic performance!
