Scholarships

We offer sport, art, drama, music and academic scholarships to recognise and reward exceptional talent which can be nurtured through an education at Hereford Cathedral School. We look to our scholars to bring an attitude, dedication and commitment that will enrich our school community, becoming role models for their peers, whilst making the most of their talents.

Candidates are invited to apply for scholarships at 11+, 13+ and 16+ and scholarships are awarded following an assessment and interview process, in addition to our usual entrance examinations.

Our scholarship awards offer recognition for excellence in a particular area of school life, along with a small financial discount. If you require greater financial support, you can find details of our fee assistance scheme here.

Please contact our Admissions team on 01432 363506 or email admissions@herefordcs.com to find out more about applying for a scholarship.

My biggest achievement as a music scholar has been accompanying the school's Chapel Choir in St Paul’s Cathedral. It was such a fantastic experience which I don’t think I could have gained anywhere else.

The three words I would use to describe my drama scholarship are fulfilling, exciting and challenging.
