Year 4 investigated the gargoyles on Hereford Cathedral before designing gargoyles in charcoal on cartridge paper. Pupils constructed a cylinder pot in earthenware clay and modelled their gargoyle on the side, before glazing and firing the final pot.
Year 5 investigated the fruit and vegetable portraits painted by Arcimboldo in the 16th Century. They started the project with observational drawings and have composed their oil pastel on an A2 black sugar paper background.
Year 6 explored the work of Andy Warhol’s 'Can' prints and paintings before producing observational drawings, prints and paintings in his style. Year 6 produced two colour press prints using easy polystyrene and lino plates.
